Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a health care approach that emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Treatment involves manual therapy including manipulation of the joints, and soft tissue to restore structure and function. Gentle mobilization can include techniques for a “No Crack” adjustment.

We only utilize scientifically based techniques and work in cooperation with other health care practitioners for the best interest of the patient.

Treatment also includes exercise, health and lifestyle counseling. Learn more about Chiropractic care

Massage Therapy

Massage has been described as "the healing touch." The art of massage therapy refers to the application of various techniques to the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body.  These techniques affect the musculoskeletal, circulatory-lymphatic, nervous, as well as other systems of the body.

We specialize in deep muscle and trigger point therapy. The goal is to break up scar tissue that has formed in the muscles, restoring them to strong healthy and balanced muscles for optimum performance. Learn more about Massage Therapy

Rehabilitative stretching and strengthening

We teach our patients stretches and exercises specific to their condition.  These techniques will help strengthen and correct individual problems. This is an important step for balance and a long lasting recovery. Exercises can be performed in our office and in most cases, in the comfort of your home.

Adding the right type of stretching and exercise program during rehabilitation will have a tremendous effect on the speed of recovery! Learn more about Rehabilitative stretching and strengthening

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a very well known rehabilitation modality. High frequency sound waves pass painlessly through the skin and cause a vibration of the local tissues. This vibration causes an extremely deep local heating effect. Ultrasound will reduce pain and swelling, increase local blood circulation, breaks down scar tissue and increases range of motion. Electric muscle stimulation

We use a specific type of electrical stimulation known as interferential therapy. This painless electric stimulation utilizes two medium frequency currents, which simultaneously pass through the tissue.  They are set up to cross paths and interfere with each other, thereby relieving pain, stimulating muscles, increasing local blood flow and reducing swelling. Traction

Traction works by gently stretching the back. If your back pain is due to disc herniation, tight muscles or pressure on a nerve, this lengthening will help relieve the pressure. The type of traction used depends on the condition and what part of the spine is affected. Learn more about Traction
